Devlog 8 - Next Game Jam


I ended up having to pull out of the last Game jam as life got very hectic.

On the bright side, I've added quite a bit since the last jam.


There are now rudimentary controls to the action. (There is the ability to fully take over a player but i'm not sure if that won't be used for an entirely different mode of play)

Since the current online  version:

- Players can now place flags and tell some or all characters to run to the flags.

- Players can tell healers to stop healing, dps to stop dpsing, or anyone to stop acting altogether

- 2 Proper tutorial bosses have been designed and implemented. 2 more are on the way to make the first proper dungeon that should feel like the game is supposed to feel

- A ton of behind the scenes adjustments to make new arenas/bosses/abilities easier to build in the future

- As always, an assortment of bug fixes and UI upgrades. Still terrible art.

On Board for THIS game jam:

- Finish code where players can focus DPS/Healing/Tanking on player selected targets.

- Finish code where players can tell characters to stop MOVING but otherwise continue acting

- Finish the two tutorial bosses.

- Add about 5 more pieces of gear to round out the first dungeon.

- Balance and polish.


When that is done, I will upload everything to be played. The current uploaded version does not have the new changes, as there are a lot of exposed wires in that build. I'll tuck everything away for the next upload
